Sufra Dayma:

Creamy Salmon Bake

Serves 4

Ingredients:

500 gms penne pasta

400 gms smoked salmon (shredded)

1 onion (thinly sliced)

4 cups creamy bechamel sauce

1/2 cup fresh breadcrumbs

1 cup finely grated parmesan cheese

1/4 cup dill leaves (chopped)

2 tbsp butter (melted)

Salt + Pepper + grated nutmeg

Method:

Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Lightly grease a 6-cup capacity baking dish and coat with some breadcrumbs. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, until just tender. Drain pasta (do not rinse). Return to hot saucepan. Add salmon, bechamel sauce, onions, dill and seasoning. Stir until well combined. Spoon into prepared dish. Combine breadcrumbs, cheese, and butter in a bowl. Sprinkle over top of pasta. Bake until top is goldened. Allow to set for a few minutes and serve.
