Airbus's Elite
EUROPE'S aircraft manufacturer Airbus brought its A318 Elite featuring a VIP cabin for display at the AVEX show for the first time. The aircraft features a VIP interior comprising a lounge with several seating areas, plus a private office/bedroom with in- suite bathroom. It seats up to 18 passengers.
"The Airbus ACJ Family's tremendous improvement in cabin comfort means that passengers benefit from the ambiance of open and airy surroundings, complemented by dome ceilings, as well as unprecedented freedom of movement," said David Vellipulai, Product Marketing Director.
Derived from the best-selling A320 product line, which now has more than 6,300 orders and 285 customers and operators to its credit, the Airbus ACJ Family is also a more modern design than traditional business jets, as well as an attractively affordable alternative.
Embraer's super midsize
THE BRAZILIAN manufacturer Embraer displayed the Legacy 600 super midsize executive jet, for the first time at this event. "We are pleased to participate in the AVEX air show for the second time," said Colin Steven, Embraer Vice President Marketing and Sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East Executive Jets. "Visitors experienced the luxurious cabin, comfortable seats and large baggage compartment of the Legacy 600, which already enjoys great popularity in several countries throughout Africa and the Middle East."
Embraer also displayed the 190 E-Jet in the colours of Saudi Arabia's National Air Services (NAS) Aviation.
ExecuJet's Learjet 60 XR
FOR the first year ExecuJet Aviation Group, in partnership with Bombardier, showcased a Learjet 60XR on static display at the event. Andrew Hoy, executive director Group Sales, highlighted the importance of the event to the aviation business. "This region is vital territory for the business aviation market and we have long standing relationships with the buyers here," states Andrew Hoy.
