Veteran journalist dies

Kamel Zoheiri

VETERAN journalist Kamel Zoheiri died on Monday at 81. Zoheiri was a former press syndicate chairman, prominent writer and historian. He received his bachelors degree from Cairo University's Faculty of Law in 1946. He also studied arts in the Sorbonne in France in 1949. Zoheiri was Al-Ahram 's correspondent in India from 1949 to 1952. He was board chairman of Rose El-Youssef and chief editor of Hilal magazine. Zoheiri wrote a daily column in Al-Gomhuriya newspaper "From the keyhole" ( Min thoqb al-bab ).
