PRESIDENT Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday received Cypriot President Demetris Christofias to examine bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially on the economic front, and wider Euro-Mediterranean relations. A joint communiqué issued after the meeting stressed commitment to advance cooperation to serve the interests of regional peace and stability, especially in relation to pursuing Arab-Israeli peace. Egypt and Cyprus are members of the Barcelona Process and the Union for the Mediterranean.
