In the seventh year of the US occupation of Iraq, humiliating scenes such as this frisking of ordinary citizens by the occupiers are still a daily occurrence. Many Iraqis originally welcomed the US forces as liberators but the main result was widespread violence and increased ethnic and sectarian conflict. Now virtually all Iraqis are bitter.
