![]() This week we mourn the passing of the suave diplomat Ahmed Maher, who dedicated his life to his career. His aristocratic bearing and cultured mannerism distinguished him from fellow diplomats. The former foreign minister served at a particularly sensitive time and his political acumen and broad-mindednes s served him well. We all will sorely miss him. He will be remembered as a man of uncompromising principles and dedicated service to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry. He rendered his services unswervingly and in all humility. The ideal diplomat has died and we all will remember him for a long time to come. |
