Fugazzi Easter Biscuits

Makes about 35
Ingredients:
2 cups plain all-purpose flour
1/2 cup castor sugar
3 tbsp white wine
2 tbsp milk
Almond slivers
1/2 tsp ground anise seeds
1/3 cup corn oil
Method:
Combine sifted flour, sugar and anise in a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre. Combine milk, wine and oil. Stir into dry ingredients then knead mixture until smooth. Shape into a ball. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to 5 mm thick. Cut into rounds with a cutter or a bunny shaped cutter. Pierce edges well with a fork. Place on lightly greased baking trays. Place almond slivers on each biscuit. Bake at 180 degrees until golden brown (15-20 minutes). Allow to completely cool on wire racks. Store in an airtight container… Happy Easter!!
