Fettuccine Sausage and Vegetables

375 gms fettuccine (spinach or plain)
200 gms spicy smoked sausage (sliced)
2 cups broccoli florets
500 gms tomatoes (chopped)
2 tbsp lemon juice
50 gms butter + 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
Salt + pepper + basil
Cook pasta in a large pan of salted boiling water, until just tender, then drain. Heat butter and oil in a large pan. Stir in sausage. Cook, stirring, for two minutes. Add broccoli. Stir until just tender. Add juice and tomato. Stir until tomato just softens. Season and stir. Gently toss pasta into vegetables and sausage, until heated through. Serve with grated parmesan and a salad.
N.B.: For sausage, you can use pepperoni, calabrese or chorizo in the recipe.
