A Free Officer and a highly acclaimed historian of the 23 July 1952 Revolution, Ahmed Hamroush is an intellectual and an activist who had a tremendous energy and was a prolific writer who won many an accolade. His artistic talent found expression in the theatre and then he dedicated the latter years of his life to heading the historic Afro-Asian Solidarity Organisation. He lived a full life and we shall miss his dynamism and verve.
