Ocalan is a unique kind of criminal: his heavy-set face establishes his weight on the ground, his stony expression and deviant moustache recall the atrocities he was determined enough to commit. Yet what is committed against him is worse. For he is the symbol of a struggle, a whole race dispossessed, and his wide inquisitive eyes will forever have the power to interrogate.
