TWO Egyptians, Salah Emad Al-Gebali, 28, and Lamia Mondegeur, 30, were confirmed killed in Friday’s Paris attacks. French authorities told the Egyptian consulate general in Paris that Al-Gebali, a resident of France, was killed during the attacks. The Egyptian consul said the location where he died was not known, but it was likely Le Bataclan concert hall, the deadliest site of Friday’s carnage. Dual Egyptian-French national, Mondeguer died during the attack on a restaurant on Rue de Charonne in the 11th district, a source close to her family told the independent publication Enterprise. Mondeguer studied cinema and worked as a communications manager at the Studio Noma talent agency. Friday saw the killing of 129 people, with 352 injured, 80 of whom are in critical condition. The attackers shot at people sitting in restaurants and bars, detonated bombs near a football stadium and killed audience members at a packed concert at Le Bataclan. Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attacks in an online statement in Arabic and French.
