EGYPT dominated the African youth and junior table tennis championships held in Algeria.

The U-21 men’s team of Shadi Magdi, Ali Ghallab and Mahmoud Fathi won first place after beating Tunisia 3-0.

The women’s U-21, Aida Rahmou, Reem Al-Eraqi, Fagr Shoman and Yosra Helmi, beat Tunisia, Algeria and Nigeria with the same result to claim first place.

The men’s youth team (Karim Al-Hakim, Youssef Abdel-Aziz and Abdel-Rahman Rahmou) beat Nigeria 3-0 to take first place, as did the women’s team in the same age group, defeating Algeria 3-0 to win the title with a team including Mariam Al-Hodeibi, Amira Yosri and Marwa Al-Hodeibi.

The junior men’s team of Marawan Abdel-Wahab, Ammar Attia and Ahmed Al-Borhami beat Nigeria 3-1 for the title while the women — Reinad Fathi, Shahd Sameh and Iman Taha — edged Tunisia 3-2.
