EGYPTIAN athletes continue receiving their Olympic tickets for this summer’s Games in Brazil, reports Abeer Anwar.

The Egyptian table tennis national team won a place in the Rio 2016 Olympics after taking first place in Africa. Dina Meshref and Nadine Al-Dawlitli had qualified earlier after winning the women’s events in addition to two more players who qualified by way of the All Africa Games that took place last September in Brazzaville.

The men’s Pool B features Iran, 2014 world championships and Bosnia Herzegovina, third in the world and 2014 World Championships gold medalist  who have met each other in many previous Paralympic and World ParaVolley competitions. Russia who rank sixth in the world and qualified after becoming the 2016 Intercontinental Non-Qualified Teams Champion, is in together with China, world No 7 and the 2015 ParaVolley Asia-Oceania silver medalist.

Both the men’s and women’s competitions feature the top two world-ranked teams in Pool A and B.
