FIVE died including the killer who ran over innocent pedestrians walking towards Westminster, the seat of the British parliament.

The wife of the Westminster attacker, Khalid Masood, has said she is “saddened and shocked” by the atrocity, and condemns his actions. He was drunk and high on narcotics when he committed his criminal act in the name of Islam.

The irony is that he was not born a Muslim, but became a Muslim when he worked in Saudi Arabia. Obviously he misunderstood Islam, mixing the Greater Jihad, the struggle against one’s self, whims and passions, as opposed to the Lesser Jihad, the jihad against pagans, and not innocent people.

Rohey Hydara spoke out after Masood’s mother, Janet Ajao, said she had “shed many tears” for her son’s victims.

In a statement released through the Metropolitan police, Hydara said: “I am saddened and shocked by what Khalid has done. I totally condemn his actions. I express my condolences to the families of the victims that have died, and wish a speedy recovery to all the injured.

“I would like to request privacy for our family, especially the children, at this difficult time.”

On Sunday a group of Muslim women gathered on Westminster Bridge to hold hands in silence, to remember victims of the attack.
