Fri 19, 8pm (Free entrance): The Greek Cultural Centre in Cairo, under the auspices of the Greek Embassy and the Greek Community of Cairo, is celebrating its 14th anniversary organizing a concert of Greek music, tribute to the popular composer Mimis Plessas, in cooperation with the Sector of International Relations at the Ministry of Culture of Egypt and the Cairo Opera House. At this concert-tribute to the music and valuable artistic ability of Mimis
Plessas, will sing his songs the Greek-Egyptian singer Dakis and Helena
Pervena, while he accompanies them, playing the piano as uniquely as he
knows how. Panos Dervos will be on keyboards and vocals and Avgoustis
Petrou will play bouzouki.
Wed 24 and Thurs 25, 8pm: A gala concert presented by the Cairo Opera Company.

Wed 24, 7pm: For the first time on the culturewheel stage, singer Mohamed Samir will perform his own songs as well as songs by well-known Egyptian singers.
