The Cairo Puppet Theatre

Sahsah Lama Yangah (When Sahsah Succeed), a children play with décor and puppets designed by Amir Abdel-Massih, music composed by Mohamed Fawzi, poems by Salah Jahin and directed by Salah Al-Sakka

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a musical performed by The Faculty of Fine Arts Theatre Atelier Company, an adaptation of British author Roald Dahl’s children novel carrying the same name, written for stage and directed by Samar Galal (Thursday 5 October, 6 and 8pm).

Avant-Scène Theatre Festival for Youth
The festival presents six troupes performing one show everyday
Al-Aash (The Nest), directed by Ibrahim Mohamed (Thursday 5 October, 7-8.30pm and 9-10.30pm).
Dahaya Al-Wageb (Victims of Duty), directed by Fady Samir (Saturday 6 October, 7-8.30pm and 9-10.30pm).
The winning work of this year’s edition will be shown again followed by the closing ceremony (Sunday 7 October, 7-8.30pm).

Helm Wa Kadab (A Fake Dream), a play revolves around how the strength of the human well can develop one’s personality. It casts among many others Ashraf Farouk, Mahmoud Al-Zayat, Samar, Naglaa Younis, Reham Hassan, written by Said Haggag and directed by Mohamed Diab

The third season of Misr Theatre Company presents plays six, seven and eight casting Ashraf Abdel-Baqi, Ali Rabiaa, Hamdy Al-Merghany, Mustafa Khater, Dina among others  
(plays eight and nine on Thursday 5, Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September while plays nine and ten on Thursday 12, Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October , 8pm).

Abn Alaih (The Son of ….), an impressive youth musical produced by Malak Theatre Company, and is based on Charles Dickens’s novel Oliver Twist. It casts Nasser Shahin, the Voice Kids talents programme star Youssef Farag, Mohamed Yehia, Ahmed Nasser, Ahmed Hisham, Mariam Sami, dance shows choreographed by Mohamed Ashri, who is also the director of the play

Al Asal Asal (Honey is Honey), a play starring Ola Ramy, Hassan Al-Arabi, Fatmah Mohamed Ali, written by Samir Al-Asfoury and directed by Emile Shawqi

Layla Min Alf Layla, a play starring Egyptian actor Yehia Al-Fakharani, Lotfi Labib, singer Mohamed Mohsen, written by Beram Al-Tonsi and directed by Mohsen Helmi.

La Mascherata (The Fancy Dress Party), a play based on Alberto Moravia’s novel starring Mohamed Riyad, Leqaa Swedan, Ahmed Youssef, Khaled Mahmoud and Gihan Salama with music by Walid Al-Shahawi, choreography by Farouk Gaafar, poems by Farghali Al-Arabi, décor by Mohamed Hashem and costumes by Maha Abdel-Rahman. It is written by Saad Ardash and directed by Hisham Gomaa

Wisdom Hall
Aghla Men Alzahab (Precious than Gold) and Al Shams Ekhtafet (The Sun Disappeared), two theatre shows performed by El Sawy Culturewheel Puppet Theatre which tell the story of the judo player Mohamed Rashwan, who was able to amaze the world with his manners. It is shows are written and directed by Mohamed Abdel-Moneim El-Sawy (Friday 6 October, 3pm).

Kaanak Tarah (As if You See Him), a play about the life story of Prophet Mohamed (P.B.U.H) starring Mohamed Younis, Maher Mahmoud, Alaa Al-Naquib, Sameh Fekri, music by Mohamed Ezzat, décor and costumes designed by Maye Nabil, written by Nesma Samir and directed by Maher Mahmoud  
(Performances run daily, 8pm).
