Princess Haya bint Al-Hussein, wife of UAE Vice-President Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al- Maktoum, will deliver the keynote address at the symposium, the 13th of its kind.

One of the initiatives of the Mohamed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Creative Sports Awards, the symposium will be held on 1 November at the Palazzo Versace Hotel with the theme this year being “Empowerment of Women in Sport”.

Vice Chairman of Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Mohamed bin Rashid Al- Maktoum Creative Sports Awards Board of Trustees Matar Al-Tayer thanked Princess Haya for her participation.

“On behalf of the board of trustees of the award, I would like to thank Her Royal Highness Princess Haya bint Al-Hussein for agreeing to participate in the symposium and enrich it by sharing her invaluable experience as a sports figure who has starred on the world stage in the equestrian arena, as well as the United Nations Messenger of Peace.

“Her highness continues to participate in community sports activities, providing women with a role model. Her participation will be a very significant and important addition to this annual symposium, which is organised by the award since its inception and attracts specialists from various sides of the sports world,” Al- Tayer said.

A number of top women’s sports and scientific figures have agreed to participate in the seminar in which all the sessions will be dedicated towards highlighting successful women in sport. The final list of the speakers will be announced in the coming days.
