Every Sunday, 8.30pm: The Nile Troupe for Folk Instruments, conducted by Abdel-Rahman Al-Shafaai, performs dances and songs from Upper Egypt on mizmar, tabla and other traditional musical instruments. Every Friday, 8.30pm: “Al-Aragouz wa Khayal Al-Zel” (The Shadow Puppet), a free public performance by clowns in Al-Muaaz Street, presented by Wamda and directed by Nabil Bahgat.

Fri 27, 8pm: The Korean Modern Table Dance Company, led by choreographer Kim Jae-Duk, is a budding company aims to communicate with audience through interdisciplinary contemporary dance performances and projects. Sat 28, 8pm: Cairo Symphony Orchestra performs The World of Crossovers (I), Jazzy Affairs and Music by Gershwin, Ellington, Chick Corea, Jobim, Desmond, Armstrong and others featuring Julie Michels (American) (Soloist Vocals) and conducted by Mohamed Saad Basha. Wed 1, 8pm: The 26th Arab Music Festival and Conference’s opening ceremony features musical drama by Ragah Dawoud, Tamer Karawan  (Egypt), Rad Khalaf (Syria), Amin Bu Afa (Tunisia). Singing recitals by Nehal Nabil and Wael Al-Fashny (Egypt). Flute recital by Ines Abdel-Daiem.
Thurs 2, 8pm: In commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the death of singer Abdel-Halim Hafez, the opera stars Ahmed Effat, Hany Amer, Maye Hassan, Noha Hafez and many more will sing his songs in a concert, conductd by Mohamed Al-Mogui. A singing recital by Mohamed Assaf (Palestine) and the musical troupe, conducted by Yacoup Mohamed.  Open-Air Theatre

Fri 27, 8pm: Somaya Darwish performs some of her Arabic songs as a return to stage. Sat 28, 8.30pm: Hisham Kharma and his band perform some of his digitally mixed compositions.
Sun 29, 8pm: Retro band performs old Egyptian songs as well as Poet Ahmed Haddad’s poetry in his presence.
Tues 31, 8pm: Ibrahim Farouk performs Egyptian rap songs. Wed 1, 8pm: Al Asalaa Fi Rabaa Al Omr performs classical Arab songs as a result of a project founded by Dr. Amaal Fathi to help the elders beat lonliness with creativity. Thurs 2, 6pm and 8pm: El Sawy Culturewheel Puppet Theatre show revives the concerts of diva Umm Kolthoum playing two of her much-loved songs.
