Thurs 9, 4pm: “Renewable Energy: Lightening the Path to Future,” seminar is the fifteenth edition of the monthly series of the MACIC Roundtable. The primary focus of the discussion will be to analyze and share the experiences of India and Egypt in the Renewable Energy sector. It will be exploring areas of interest including policy framework in both countries, new guidelines for the investment in Renewable Energy Sector and reforms required to achieve the targets in this sector. It will also discuss the benefit of clean energy to mitigate the effect of climate change. It features eminent speakers: Dr. Mohamed Khayat, Executive Chairman of New and Renewable Energy Authority, Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Dr. Moursi Hosni Abu Bieh, Professor in Photo Chemistry Department, Egyptian National Research Center; and Mr. Ashish Khanna, Programme Leader for Sustainable Development (Egypt, Yemen and Djibouti), World Bank.
