An exhibition of pastel paintings by Mohamed Ghanem and photography by Khaled Abul-Dahab is currently on display at the  Picasso gallery in Zamalek.
Mohamed Ghanem’s work, “Water-Scape”, is described by the artist: “Egypt is surrounded by a sea in the north and a sea in the east, a river in the middle and lakes all over, so the element of water is essential to its landscape… I prefer to paint only national themes, so I have been on a journey to explore Egypt’s seas and river and one of its lakes, seeking inspiration in their beautiful scenery…”

Ghanem is a 1990 Fine Arts Faculty graduate, Helwan University. He obtained his masters degree in 1995 and PhD in 2000. He has participated in 50 group exhibitions and given 16 solo ones. His work has been collected by museums and individuals in Egypt.

The exhibition will remain on view until 19 December
