Summer colour trends

Runway looks say that colour trends this summer will take two opposed directions: delicate, softer, more feminine pastel shades like pink and lavender for a fancy feminine look and a strong, vibrant palette of red, green and bright yellow for serious ladies.

But no matter what your style is, you’re sure to find at least a few summer colour trends that appeal to you. Here are some seasonal shades to pick from:

Lilac: True lavender shades were trending on the spring runways this year.

Rapture rose

Rapture rose: This is by far the most youthful and girlish of the summer 2018 colour trends.

Purple: This vivacious tone is powerful and creative, perfect for anyone who wants to draw attention while enjoying this season’s colour trends.

Tomato red

Tomato red: A totally bold, captivating shade. The warmth and bright red colour of cherry tomatoes is one of this summer’s colour trends.

Yellow: This vibrant, energising hue is the perfect shade for this summer’s colour trends. Many designers have opted to use it in seductive ways and connect it to purple as a complementary colour.

Pink lavender

Pink lavender: This soft and feminine shade is one of the standouts of this spring and summer’s colour trends. It’s a perfect cool tone for the floral season that exudes feminine confidence.

Sky blue

Sky blue: A fresh colour that evokes a serene sky. Pale blue is a charming shade that is as light as air and as clear as day.

Chocolate brown

Chocolate brown: This is a statement colour that looks rich and inviting. This warm, intense and enveloping shade is back on the runway this year.

Coconut milk

Coconut milk: It’s softer than white, and it pairs better with many of the other summer 2018 colours. It figures in everything from jackets to dresses to suits this season.

Military green

Military green: Olive green is a wonderful shade that seems neutral and is back for summer 2018 with a delicate and fresh hue.

Spiced apple

Spiced apple: Somewhere between a brownish red and a reddish brown, this variation on red is very neutral, so it works well with both cool and warm colours.

Metallic: Gunmetal and bright silver are prominent on the 2018 spring and summer runways and are the perfect colours for a party dress or body suit.

Almost mauve

Almost mauve: This is the perfect choice for anyone who wants to exude purity without being all that pure. This soft, lovely shade is a wonderful and comforting choice for exquisite evening dresses.

Orange: This eye-popping shade is another bright addition to spring and summer 2018 colour trends.
