It’s that time of year again when everyone wants to lose a few pounds and get into shape for summer. No doubt, two months ago it was easy to cover up a few extra pounds with a chunky sweater. But when the temperature rises along with hemlines and sleeves, there’s just nowhere for the body’s excess weight to hide.

Fat can sometimes be stubborn to deal with. So instead of feeling hopeless, try one of these simple yet powerful drinks to help you firm your thighs and flatten your stomach.

Minty lemon detox: 

To prepare this super-powerful fat-burning drink you’ll need one lime, one green tea bag, a quarter of a cup of mint leaves and water. Put the green teabag in a jar filled with 25 ounces of water. Cover the jar and put the mixture in the fridge for about 25 minutes. Slice up the lime and mint and place it in the water. Take out the green tea bag and cover the jar again and put it in the fridge for another 25 minutes. Drink and enjoy.


Cucumber detox: 

To make this amazing fat-burning drink you’ll need six cups of water, one long cucumber, sliced up, one tablespoon of grated ginger, a lemon, sliced, and a third of a cup of mint leaves. Pour the water into a glass jar. Add the other ingredients and put in the fridge overnight. Serve chilled the next day and drink before going to bed to help the fat melt away. 


Radish detox: 

To prepare this drink you’ll need 250 g of red radishes, two cinnamon sticks, and half a cup of lemon juice. Wash the radishes and boil without peeling them with the cinnamon sticks in two litres of water. Take the cinnamon out and mix the boiled radishes in a blender. Wait until the mixture cools and then add the lemon juice. Drink three cups of this a day half an hour before each meal.


Pomegranate peels: 

To make this easy drink you’ll need a cup of water, a third of a cup of mint leaves, one green tea bag, one tablespoon of ginger, powdered, and the peel of half a pomegranate. Pour some water into a clean glass bowl. Soak the mint leaves, green tea bag, ginger and pomegranate peel in the water. Leave for an hour and a half. Drain, and then drink a cup of the drink three times a day.


Aloe Vera detox: 

You’ll need one cucumber, a bunch of parsley or cilantro, one lemon, one tablespoon of grated ginger, one tablespoon of aloe vera juice, and half a glass of water. Put all the ingredients in a blender. Blend well and drink a glass of the juice before bed time. The drink will help boost your metabolism and burn fat as you sleep.
