Breakfast may be the most important meal of the day, but it’s also the most challenging for some. Eating the right breakfast can make the difference between having an amazing day and one that’s less than ideal. With so many options, choosing what to eat for breakfast can be a major task. But fear not — your perfect breakfast may be written in the stars.

Many of us have started doing things based on our zodiac signs, and though there’s no real science behind your birthdate and what to eat, it turns out that the stars can help you pick the perfect breakfast choice. 

Here are some perfect breakfasts based on your zodiac sign:


Aries (21 March-19 April): 

Your food choice should mirror your bold, energetic and adventurous character. A cold salmon sandwich, sweet potato turmeric muffin, avocado toast topped with some vegetables or fruit, a bowl of oatmeal with one hard-boiled egg, and a glass of nutrient-dense green smoothie are all ideal breakfast choices for Aries.


Taurus (20 April-20 May): 

You’re known to be patient and reliable, as well as warm-hearted and loving. Those of your sign believe in being themselves and often have a big appetite for all things delicious. But when it comes to breakfast, the stars recommend that Taurus have eggs, pancakes, a big bowl of classic oatmeal or a bowl of quinoa salad.


Gemini (21 May-20 June): 

You have two opinions about everything, and sometimes you can’t make up your minds, so a layered protein bar makes a great morning snack. Since you’re a curious and adaptable sign who loves the mix of savory and salty flavours, a versatile breakfast is best for you. Some pretzels, salty cereals, eggs, bagels, pudding smoothies or even burgers are the perfect choice. Toast is also a good option, as it can be smothered in avocado or loaded with peanut butter. 


Cancer (21 June-23 July): 

You’re highly imaginative and driven by feelings and intuition, though you’re also intelligent and practical. Your zodiac sign suggests that you start your day with something comforting, grounding and nurturing. Oatmeal with nuts and fruit, Nutella crepes, a classic French toast switched up with some different toppings, pancakes with honey, or avocado smoothie and peanut butter sandwiches are all great breakfast choices for you.


Leo (23 July-22 August): 

Creative, self-confident and productive, Leos crave more fatty foods and do best with a decadent, exciting breakfast. But make sure you monitor your fat intake to keep your cholesterol in check. Keep an eye on portions and opt for something heart-healthy like an egg-white omelet. Though it may sound weird, you can easily eat soups, tacos, burgers and pasta for breakfast.


Virgo (23 August-22 September): 

You’re known to be intelligent and driven by the search for perfection in every way. Since you’re hardworking, practical and moving so fast, you’re going to need some caffeine fuel and food that fills you up and keeps you focused for the day. Cue the oatmeal, smoothies, a protein shake, baked avocado eggs, lattes and cottage cheese with fruit for a longer-lasting full feeling.
