Farouk Shehata (1938-2018), a pioneer of graphic design, was born in Alexandria where he graduated from the College of Fine Arts ‎with distinction in 1962, together with a group of talented graphic artists such as Said Al-Adawi, Mahmoud Abdullah, Atiya Hussein, Sabri Hegazi.
