ThePalace of Artslocated in the Cairo Opera House Complex, the artworks of the 35th round of the General Exhibition currently exhibits a show entitled, "The Dialogue of Reality and Future". The General Exhibition was inaugurated amid much tensions and warnings that the official inauguaration will be postponed after the appointment of Alaa Abdel-Aziz as the new minister of culture. However, it was peacefully opened gathering a galaxy of Egypt's emerging talents as well as veteran contemporary artists. The exhibition offers the audience an excellent chance to have an overview of  the latest artistic trends and to realise the amount of vivid talents emerging everyday in the contemporary Egyptian art scene all are showcased in one place at the main hall in the ground floor such as Hend Adnan, Iman Osama, Maged Michael and Jihan Suleiman.

The second floor with its two levels has been allocated for the artworks that trace the natural development of the artists' creative projects with the exclusion of a bear statue carved by Carole Homs who drew on the entire body of the bear scenes Egypt witnessed in the past few years where she wrote on the bear's bloated belly three words "Bread… Freedom… Justice". This is in addition to enjoying the artworks of veteran and internationally acclaimed artists including among others Esmat Dawestashi, Taha Hussein, Samir Fouad and Helmi Al-Toni. Thepainting in the picture is a mixed media creation byReda Abdel-Salam. The exhibition is running until 25 June.
