Egypt’s football team head coach Bob Bradley named his squad for the first leg World Cup qualifier against Ghana next Tuesday in Ghana.
The list included 26 players who will represent the Pharaohs in Kumasi on 15 October. Among them are eight European-based players. The list includes 26 players: Sherif Ikrami, Ahmed A-Shennawi and Mohamed Sobhi (goalkeepers), Ahmed Fathi, Ahmed Al-Mohammadi, Hazem Imam, Wael Gomaa, Rami Rabiaa, Sayed Moawad, Mohamed Abdel-Safei and Ahmed Shedid (defenders), Amr Al-Solaia, Hossam Ashour, Hossam Ghali, Mohamed Al-Nenni and Hosni Abd-Rabou (midfielders), Mahmoud Abdel-Razek (Shikabala), Mohamed Abu Treika, Walid Suleiman, Abdullah Al-Said, Ahmed Eid, Amr Zaki, Mohamed Salah, Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim (Kahraba) and Mohamed Nagi Gedo (forwards).
The Pharaohs were scheduled to go for an intensive closed training camp in Cairo before flying to Ghana later today, Thursday. The training tarted on Monday with all players except the 11 Ahli players who were playing against Cotton of Cameroon. Because Bradley had anticipated the players would return exhausted after playing two games over two consecutive days (the first game ended prematurely because of rain) a new schedule for the Ahli players was arranged for them to catch up with their teammates.
